Article and Video - Day Hiking around 3-Cliffs Bay on The Gower Peninsula South Wales

This was a 5 mile day hiking outing I did with and my partner Anne whilst on a hiking holiday in October 2010 on the Gower Peninsula in South Wales. We parked our car on the NT (National Trust) car park (grid ref SS554874) near Pennard Cliffs Bus Stop on the southern side of Southgate. Our route was sort of circular in a westerly direction.

First we hiked westward along the coast and Pennard Cliffs to Three Cliffs Bay and Pobbles Beach before heading inland in a northerly direction. We then hiked in an anti-clockwise semi-circular direction to the other side of Three Cliffs Bay. After that we went in a south westerly direction to Great Tor and back. We then went inland in a clockwise semi-circular direction, northwards via the Gower Heritage Centre and then southwards to Pennard Castle. Finally we hiked in a south westerly direction over sand dunes back to the Pobbles Beach area and then easterly back to the car park.
